We have finished the last of the parties and the school is now quiet and calm. I have reflected back on this extraordinary term and I am filled with gratitude to you all; your unstinting support and generosity of spirit has been most welcome.
Congratulations to Shakespeare House who have gained the most House Points this term. Yesterday, Shakespeare children had a bubble disco on the AstroTurf and Henry, who is Head of the House, gave out some treats to them to thank the children for working so hard. The Smartest Class winners are 1U. These children will all get a certificate and 5 House Points towards next term’s competition. Well done to Shakespeare and to Mrs Ufland’s children for being our Super Stars this year.
The children across the school have shown great courage, resilience and kindness and we are proud of them all. Abigail in Year 1 gets a special mention, however, for being particularly kind last week. Abigail asked her parents if she could give special packs to all of the homeless people that she saw sitting on the streets in her local area. She packed water, crisps, a sandwich and some special treats into a bag and she and her mother gave one to each person they saw; what a lovely story to mark the end of the term!
On Monday we had a delicious Christmas dinner thanks to Hosanna, our Head Chef and her wonderful team. We also are spreading Christmas cheer a little differently this year and have put together Christmas Carols from each Year Group for you to enjoy. We are uploading snippets from the concert on our Instagram page.
On behalf of everyone at the school, I would like to thank you for your many cards and good wishes.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 6th January 2021.
