World Book Day is all about reading for pleasure and this week The Lyceum School children and staff celebrated their love for reading by coming to school in their pjs and enjoying a cosy morning reading and sharing in their favourite books! The classes spent some extra time outside on the astroturf playing some book-themed games that were linked with our PSHE Jigsaw learning scheme and they enjoyed story times and book scavenger hunts in our library!
The children also enjoyed watching Masked Reader 2025 video in their classes throughout the day. While disguised, a number of our Lyceum staff read aloud the story of ‘Clean up!’. Children loved guessing who each of the masked readers were!
